Leslie Petersen, NP always gives priority to patient care. After attaining her master’s degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and practicing for 5 years in Vanderbilt University Hospital, Leslie then migrated west to California. She spent a year working for UCLA Medical Center before beginning her career in Aesthetic Medicine, working in the #1 medical spa in Santa Clarita for nearly 4 years. Wanting to create a practice devoted to great patient outcomes, Leslie opened beyond|AESTHETICS in January, 2016.
Leslie’s artistic eye, steady hands and attention to detail make her extremely skilled in injectables and laser procedures. In 2018 Leslie became an instructor at CoolSculpting University and in 2021 she became an injectables trainer for Allergan Aesthetics, the makers of Botox and Juvederm Fillers, training other providers on current techniques and best practices. Leslie considers her patients’ overall health in her approach to aesthetics and believes looking good lends to feeling good.
Leslie lives in Camarillo, CA with her husband and daughter, Ryan and Maxine, along with their noble canine companion, Conan. She enjoys reading and learning along with fitness and outdoor activities including running, hiking, and gardening.

Aimee
Nurse Practitioner
Aimee Kvandal, NP-C, graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2021 with her Master’s degree from University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Prior to being an NP, she was an RN for 8 years and specialized in emergency medicine, trauma, flight nursing, and traumatic brain injury. While being in the Traumatic Brain Injury clinic, she was the department lead for the Botox migraine clinic for Active Duty Service men and women and Veterans.
Being a military wife, Aimee was able to work as an RN for special events at the White House while stationed in D.C. from 2017-2019. During her medical career working in traumatic brain injury, she had the privilege to publish a case study on one of her patients with her peers in the Brain Injury Medical Journal. She also published two children’s books while attending graduate school.
Her background in nursing has made Aimee very skilled in many types of procedures and she has developed quick and steady hands along with being a phenomenal patient advocate. Her love of providing excellent patient education clearly shows, and she aims for the highest in patient satisfaction.
Aimee is a California native and enjoys living in Camarillo. She is dedicated to helping the community feel and look their best! Along with her husband, John, who is a Civil Engineer Corps Officer and a Dive Officer for the United States Navy, and their two boys, Aimee’s active family enjoys mountain biking, fishing, boating, hiking, swimming, and basically anything outdoors.
Kristy
Physician Associate
Kristy Adam, PA-C, first graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Kinesiology emphasis in Sports Medicine, then completed her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Florida in 2008. She remained in Florida working as an Interventional Radiology PA until meeting her Navy husband in 2010. The Navy lifestyle has afforded her the opportunity to travel and work in several fields of medicine. Prior to joining our team, she worked as a Vascular/Interventional Surgical PA where she developed an interest in aesthetic medicine when treating venous disease and removing unsightly spider veins.
Kristy’s hands-on experience with procedural medicine and treating a wide range of patients of diverse backgrounds brings a unique perspective to our practice. She is trained in the use of injectables and laser devices and loves staying up-to-date with the latest techniques in anti-aging. She understands each patient has unique goals and strives to make each patient feel confident and comfortable.
Kristy lives in Camarillo with her husband, four children, and dog named Sue. She stays active by running and keeping up with her busy family, but especially enjoys a relaxing night out with her husband. Despite her best efforts, she has become the stereotypical mini-van driving soccer mom and is loving every minute of it.
Heather
Registered Nurse
Heather Hatch, RN, is a laser specialist for hair removal, tattoo removal, and IPL. She is also highly skilled in Botox, Microneedling, vitamin IV therapies and MicroInfusion. Heather loves to make all of her patients feel comfortable and well informed about treatment and her friendly demeanor is just a joy to be around.
Heather began her career as an EMT in 1998 after graduating from Ventura College with a degree in Paramedic Studies. After 10 years on an ambulance, she moved on to graduate from Moorpark College with an AS in Nursing and is currently completing her Bachelor’s in Nursing degree. Now, with 12 years of experience in Emergency Medicine and a number of those working in surgery, work-related injuries led Heather to explore other areas of medicine. She found Aesthetics and discovered a great passion in the field.
Heather is a native to Camarillo, having lived here her entire life. She really loves her community and helping people look and feel better. Heather is married to her best friend, Marshall, who is a Fire Captain for VCFD. They have four fabulous daughters and make family time a priority. She enjoys hiking, skiing, motorcycle riding, fitness of all kinds and walking her dog Rebel.
Clare
Registered Nurse
Clare Tobias, RN, LE, has a passion for skin care and loves helping patients achieve natural results while educating them on preventative anti-aging treatments. Her background as a Licensed Esthetician and her attention to detail gives her a unique perspective as an aesthetic nurse. She strives to make each patient feel comfortable and confident in reaching their aesthetic goals.
Clare has been practicing as an esthetician since 2004. She also worked for a skincare company providing training for estheticians on skincare products, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion machines. After having her first child she decided to pursue nursing and graduated with honors from Ventura College School of Nursing. She is currently finishing her Bachelor’s in nursing.
In her free time, Clare enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, hiking, fitness, and watching Sunday football. Go Cowboys!!!
Kim
Licensed Esthetician, Certified Medical Assistant, Esthetician Director
Kim Bickly, LE, CMA, has been integral to the the success of our practice since day one (practically). Playing many roles at b|A as the director of our esthetician services, medical assisting, and social media, Kim naturally inspires our team to be at their best and to have fun while doing it. She has worked as a Licensed Esthetician since 2015 and previously worked in customer service for over 10 years and continues to enjoy meeting and helping people achieve their goals.
A Simi Valley native, Kim earned her Associates Degree in Social/Behavioral Sciences in 2010 and then completed Cosmetology school, receiving her Esthetician license. Attending numerous trainings with premier skin care product manufacturers, she always brings the latest techniques and ideas to this ever-evolving industry and has trained with our Clinical Director in advanced treatments.
Kim enjoys anything to do with being outside; running, biking, hiking, swimming, water sports and camping. A sports enthusiast, she enjoys watching football and hockey and going to live sporting events, but nothing makes her happier then a perfect day at the beach!
Meghan
Licensed Esthetician
Meghan Henricks, LE, prides herself in helping others feel beautiful in their own skin and sharing her fondness of aesthetics. She is passionate about educating patients on a treatment plan that works uniquely for them and her in-depth knowledge ensures clients have a personalized experience and skincare regimen. Her goal is to truly impact her clients’ lives by making them feel good about themselves.
Meghan graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice, Criminology, and Psychology. She listened to her vocational calling into esthetics and went to Newberry School of Beauty in Granada Hills. Meghan strives to improve her education and keep up with the latest trends within the skin care industry.
Meghan’s day always starts out with an early morning workout and an iced coffee. She loves spending time with her boyfriend and their two french bulldogs, Lola and Kash!
Nallely
Licensed Esthetician
Nallely Contreras, LE, has been in the beauty industry since 2016 and brings a unique background of experience to b|A. She started out in the world of professional makeup, working in film sets and special events. Overtime she developed a passion for skin care, and dealing with many different types of faces over the years made the transition easy.
Nallely is passionate about helping others feel their absolute best. Having gone through her personal journey to healthy skin, she knows just how important it is to build a trusting relationship with her clients.
On her free time, Nallely enjoys the outdoors, dancing, journaling, and exploring new places. She is naturally creative and surrounds herself with only positive, likeminded people.
Brittany
Operations Director
Brittany Petersen’s attention to detail and organization keeps business running smooth and patients very happy. A culmination of experience in business management, bookkeeping, and customer service makes her very capable in overseeing the daily operations of our practice.
After graduating from Camarillo High School, Brittany studied ballet with Pacific Northwest Ballet Company in Seattle, WA and danced professionally with Ballet West in Salt Lake City, UT. Although a chronic injury sidelined her ballet career, she has become an award-winning professional ballroom dancer which fulfills her desire to continue to dance. Her performance experience plays big role in her appreciation of aesthetics and she loves assisting patients in looking and feeling their best.
Brittany enjoys her busy lifestyle, balancing personal improvement with business. She loves challenges that push her to always be her best. Staying physically fit through her dancing, while being a “foodie” at heart, Brittany is always on the go.
Nadia
Office Manager
Nadia’s love for beauty and her leadership skills make her the perfect addition to our team. She believes that confidence is key in life and that aesthetics are an essential part of finding confidence.
Nadia was introduced to business at a very young age while helping her parents run their family-owned dance studio in her hometown of Adonis, Lebanon. Being around a family of business owners played a huge role in developing the necessary skills for her position. She gained her love for aesthetics through the glamorous world of Ballroom dancing, where she is an award winning competitor, a certified instructor, and is currently working on acquiring her judge’s certification.
When she’s not working or practicing for a dance competition, Nadia spends her time working out at the gym or soaking up some sun at the beach.
Michelle
Patient Coordinator
Prior to joining our team, Michelle Valovcin was a patient, so she knows first-hand what it’s like to experience top-notch customer service. She has a degree in Wine and Viticulture from Cal Poly SLO and 5+ years working in the wine-service industry. That experience gave her the skills to multitask and pay attention to details, so she is well-equipped to provide our patients with the level of service they have come to expect from our practice.
Aside from being super friendly and personable, Michelle goes above and beyond to ensure every patient has an enjoyable visit from the moment they step into our office until they leave. She is also quickly becoming knowledgeable in the various treatments and products we provide.
When she’s not working, Michelle can be found playing volleyball, laying out by the pool or walking along the beach. She loves all things food, sports and animal!
McKenna
Patient Coordinator
McKenna Cogswell is truly a people person and loves helping patients feel comfortable and at-home during every visit to our offices. Her previous experience in private home healthcare honed her talents for attentiveness and customer service, while the degree she earned in Natural Sciences gives her a solid understanding of biology. All of which places McKenna with a unique skillset for administrative support in aesthetic medicine. She continues to further her education in the field and never misses a chance to learn from her diverse colleagues and training opportunities.
McKenna lives in Camarillo with her husband and loves going to the gym, traveling to tropical destinations, and hanging with her family.
