Why donate blood to Children’s Hospital?
Nearly 200,000 patients are treated annually at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the patients require 2,000 units of blood and blood components each month for the various life-saving treatments they undergo. This translates to 1,000 donors per month. Without these donations, many children wait for their transfusions. If you are of good health and over 17, we encourage you to do your part and donate blood as often as you can.
After our donation visit, we decided to flex our selfie muscles and pay a visit to Happy Place, a fun pop-up museum in Los Angeles filled with multi-sensory immersive art installations. It was a blast!
