Is there any pain or downtime?
DermaSweep is a very comfortable treatment with no pain involved. While there is virtually no downtime, some patients are slightly pink for about 30 minutes after treatment. Occasionally, people can have petechaie due to the suction, which fades in a day or two and most definitely can be covered with make-up.
Which conditions can be treated?
The DermaSweep procedure can treat a wide variety of conditions depending on the infusion solution used. Conditions such as acne, hyperpigmentation including melasma, fine lines, large pores, dry skin and more.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending upon your treatment goals, patients with hyperpigmentation often need a series of 3-6 PeelFusion treatments for optimal clearance. If you’re simply looking to be glowing for a special event, then a single PremiumFusion treatment will do the trick. Ongoing maintenance with EpiFusion treatments will keep your skin looking great for years to come. There’s no limit to how frequently you get treatments. Our DermaSweep Membership is the best way to keep up with your skincare needs.
How long does the treatment take?
This medical-grade treatment takes 30 minutes. This includes washing of your face, a dry pass (dermabrasion), application of the Infusion (wet pass) and then clean up and application of sunscreen.
I am prone to cold sores, can I still get treatment?
Absolutely! We would advise you to prophylactically take an anti-viral, such as Valtrex, the morning of treatment and another dose in the evening after treatment. Always let us know if you have a history of cold sores so that we can safely meet your aesthetic needs.
